So, what's new? Looks from the Weather Channel that you have had more than your fair share of Typhoons. I hope all is well. Drop a line, let us know how it's going.
Here. Fall is on its way. A few of the trees are what Liene calls sick. You know when the leaves change color early ... clearly a sign of a weak individual. Alex started high school a couple of weeks ago. Whoa. It looked like the transition was gonna be tough, but he seems to be doing just fine. He's got one very weird teacher and a couple of beyond excellent ones, the rest being good.
Otherwise, not much is new. I am pursuing getting the current incarnation of the band into a once a month, Friday afternoon gig at Arbor Brewing Company, one of the two brewpubs here. They have music and may be open to the idea of the after-work Friday thing. We shall see.
Have you run into any steel guitarists yet? If you are so declined, I can send you some web site URLs for steel guitar stuff. There is one good forum in particular. Lots of info and comments. The Elderly page is also fun to visit from time to time. (They just sent me a notice that there is an 8-string dobro for sale. I had put my name on a list a long time ago that I wanted one.... I don't think I have the money or time right now for such foolishness, though I have coveted one for going on two decades.)
Hope Margaret and the girls are fine and adjusting to the new lifestyle. Do say hello from me.
