Dear Alvino, Are you fired up yet for the big weekend? I imagine you feel that same mixture of excitement and dread that usually accompanies the annual gig. Have you been practicing? Not too much, I hope. I hear that can take away the spontaniety - like the difference between reading the map versus experiencing the sense of discovery at every turn. Wish I could be there - I'm sure it will be a blast.
I'm in the process of applying for a position as a Special Assistant United States Attorney so I can handle Federal cases that arise on Tinian as well as those that are covered by Commonwealth law. As part of the application process I have to pass a security check, which includes listing people I knew at various times in the distant past. May I include you as a reference? I figured I have known you for quite a while, and you always seemed kind of respectable (perhaps it is only by comparison), and you would be a good candidate. let me know. Hope all is well, and if I don't hear from you before, have a GREAT gigging weekend, and give my best to all the folks.
